Fix Android Keep Shutting Off: Android phones are best until they aren’t. However, you may not think too much about your handset when it works as intended for all of your apps, texting, and games. But the second issue occurs, however, it can be a major pain in the butt. One common problem people sometimes experience is their phone shutting off unintended. Also, if this happens to you, it’s not a good time.

No matter if it’s a result of a low battery, easy-to-fix bug, or often more serious. However, here are some tips on how to stop your phone from shutting off when you don’t want it to.

Fix Android Keep Shutting Off

Restart Your Phone

If you have a phone that keeps close off over and over again. You may also need to restart it. Also, it may sound, turning it off and on again really does work in many cases.

There are many ways to restart your phone. However, the first of which just need you to hold down the power button and click on the Restart option that seems on the screen. This will also power your phone off and enhance it back up. Hopefully making it so things once again run like normal.

If that doesn’t work, it’s worth doing what we call a “hard reset”. However, this also resets your phone but does so using a combination of the volume and power buttons. Something that comes quite handy if you’re having an issue accessing the power menu mentioned above.

While doing this, hold down the power button and volume-down buttons until you’re taken to the Fastboot Mode screen. Then, hit the power button again to begin the phone up. If you don’t view the start option, then use the volume-up and volume-down buttons to cycle through the different options until you find it.

However, If your phone plans to stay on and go back to normal after a good restart. Then you can stop reading here and move on with your life. If you’re still having problems, there are some other things we can try.

Charge it up

Another possible solution to your phone issue is to charge your device up. If your phone turns off that could just be a sign that your battery is low.

Find your charging cable then plug your phone in. Also, leave it be and keep it charging for at least an hour. Then come back after a while, and if the battery seems like it’s charging normally, you should be good to go.

But in case if your phone isn’t taking a charge, try moving the charger to a different wall or using a different cable/AC adapter. But, if it still doesn’t work, it’s possible something is messed up with the charging port. Also, if your phone supports wireless charging, then place it on a supported wireless charger and view if that works. After doing that and the battery still isn’t charging and/or your phone keeps shutting off, you have a huge issue on your hands.

Factory Reset and Restore

If you can use your phone long enough to click the important buttons. Then backing up your data and performing a factory reset is worth a shot. However, a factory reset useful to take your phone back to how it was when you originally bought it.

Doing this will remove all of your apps, games, pictures, and other confidential data. However, make sure that everything is backed up before starting the reset is extremely important. Supposing it is, you’ll be able to recover your phone back to how it was when going through the setup process.

However, Factory resets can be very effective for improving performance, helping battery life, and scores of other things. There’s a good chance it could stop your phone from frequently turning off. But due to how intensive of a process it is, we don’t suggest it be your first course of action. Only if the above two steps don’t work should you go down this route?

Contact the Manufacturer:

If you fatigue these tips and still aren’t making any progress. However, it’s time to call the manufacturer of your phone and view what your options are. Most phones come with a manufacturer warranty to cover issues like this. Supposing you haven’t seriously damaged or worn out your phone and potentially caused the issue yourself.

Also, if you bought insurance for your phone either through the manufacturer or from a retailer like Best Buy, you should be able to take benefit of that to keep costs as low as possible for yourself.

However, we can’t list the contact information for every single phone maker out there. But here is customer service numbers you’ll want to call for some of the most popular brands.

Getting two-three years out of a phone is great. But anything beyond that being gravy. However, phones degrade when the time goes on, and if you’ve been regularly using it day in and day out. It’s only natural for issues to pop up the longer and longer you hold on to it.
