Do you want to move from Android to iOS? Transferring your contacts, calendars, photos, and accounts from your old mobile phone or tablet to your new iPad or iPhone is quite easy than with Apple’s Move to iOS app. However, Apple’s first Android app catch your old Android and new Apple device simultaneously over a direct internet connection and move over all your data. However, move to the iOS app transfers a huge amount of your data, it doesn’t move your apps music, or any kind of passwords. Also, you can only move data using a tablet or Android phone to an iPad or iPhone running iOS 9 or higher. However, if you’ve got the latest iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max, then you no need to worry.
How to transfer your data from Smartphone to iPhone or iPad via Move to iOS
Follow the steps carefully to transfer your data from the smartphone to the iPhone or iPad using Move to iOS:
Initially, set up your iPad or iPhone until you reach the display screen titled “Apps & Data”.
Then click the “Move Data from Android” option.
Then head over to Google Play Store of tablet or Android phone and look for Move to iOS.
Then open the Move to the iOS app listing.
Click to accept the permissions request.
Click Open once it’s installed.
Click Continue on both devices.
Click Agree and then Next on the smartphone or tablet.
On your mobile device, input the 12-digit code shown on the iPhone or iPad.
After you input the code, the mobile device will plug with your iPad or iPhone over a peer-to-peer internet connection and decide what data will be moved.
It will ask whether you like to move your Google Account info, Chrome bookmarks, contacts, messages, and the images and videos in your camera roll. Simply choose everything you like to transfer over.
Your tablet or mobile phone will move the chosen data over to your iPad or iPhone and put the appropriate content into the accurate apps. The two devices will unplug and Android will prompt you to take your old device to the Apple Store, where they’ll then recycle it for free.
When the transfer process is complete, click on Continue Setting Up iPhone or Continue Setting Up iPad on your device then carry on setting up the latest Apple ID or logging into your existing one.
When the setup process is completed, a prompt appears to log in to the accounts you moved using your old Android device. Do that, and then all done!
How long it takes to move data as it varies depending on how much amount of data you’re moving — especially if you were saving lots of images and videos. We moved roughly 400MB of files and it took about 8 minutes from initiating to set up our iPhone to input account passwords.
