If you like to follow back people on Snapchat as I do, then today’s tip should be helpful for you! This tip will help you organize your contacts and most importantly, allow you to instantly identify the people that you want to watch in your “Stories Screen”. In this article, we are going to talk about How to Make Snapchat Streaks List. Let’s begin!
When adding tons of people on Snapchat, there is no particular way to manage your friends unless you get a little creative. Everyone has an A-list right? If you are into sports you have an A-list of players or also teams you prefer over others or an A-list of hanging out buddies as well. The concept is actually the same.
One of the great things about Snapchat is that it alphabetizes your friends’ list in the ”All Stories” Section under the “Recent Updates” of your Stories Screen. That means anything with the letter A will come first. So, by adding an “A” in front of all the contacts that you want to stay updated with, it will then automatically place them at the top of your “All Stories” section. If you do this then it will allow you to quickly scroll to the “A” section and identify them easily each day, so you will never miss a story.
What are Snapchat Streaks
Snapstreaks are Snapchat’s way of making sure that you do not forget your friends (we hope). Snapstreaks happen when two people send each other snaps for three days consecutively. It is denoted by an 🔥 emoji that goes along with a number. The number actually represents the number of days that you have the streaks going for.
If you do not send a snap to the other person within 24 hours, then you will lose the streak and will have to start all over again. It actually happens, the longer you keep sending each other snaps, the higher your Snapstreak will get.
Snapstreaks actually need work though. Both of the users must send a snap within 24 hours in order to maintain the streak. And to make it tougher, Snapchat does not actually count messages and group snaps as part of your streaks; so you will have to send individual snaps to the person.
Make Snapchat Streaks List
Let’s start with adding the “A.” (You can see the steps below)
- Hover over your “My Friends” list by swiping down from the camera screen
- Click the “My Friends” button. Here you find all the friends you are following
- Then tap on a Contact and a pop up will appear
- Click the Gear icon
- Click “Edit Name”
- Then add “A — “ to the beginning of the name
- Tap “Save”
And you are all set to go! Repeat these steps for all the people that you would prefer to see in your “A list”
When it is completed, then you can navigate to your Stories Screen, skip the “Recent Updates” section and then scroll down to your A list. Everyone that you added an A before their name will now show up first in alphabetical order.
You can also take this a step further and also segment your A-List by putting your A-Listers in categories according to their unique content. I do this by adding emojis after the “A” I just added to the front of their name.
Note: You can also use this in order to target them with specific messages. I will tell you more about how I do this in a few.
When you are testing this, I found that by placing an emoji after the A, it will group that list together in your “All Stories” Section, Contact List, etc. When scrolling through your contacts, then all storytellers will be together, all artists and so on.
I cannot Just send a snap to my Snapchat Best friends?
Yes, Best friends on Snapchat shows at the top of your list. But Snapchat only lets you have up to eight Best friends on the application. If you only aim at having eight Snapstreaks going, then you can simply use the Best friend feature. And if any more than eight, and you will have to scroll through your Friends list to find them.
Use an alphabet in front of user name?
A lot of people do use this technique since it takes your list to the top rather than the bottom. This way you do not have to scroll to the bottom each and every time you have to send out a snap. But, Snapchat also keeps your recently added users at the top of the list. This would also interfere with your snapping list, and make it more complicated to separate them out.
If you send a snap to a group count toward your Snapstreak | Make Snapchat Streaks List
Unfortunately, the only way to keep a Snapstreak going is to send personal snaps to the other user. Sending snaps to groups within Snapchat does not count in regards to your Snapstreak.
Does Snapchat have a ‘Select all’ option to send out snaps?
An older version of Snapchat did in fact have a ‘Select all’ button when we are sending out snaps. But, that was long discontinued, and none of the newer versions now have it. So to send out Snaps, you must individually click on each person’s name.
Third-party apps? | Make Snapchat Streaks List
There are some third-party applications that claim they can group your contacts together. In order to help you send out snaps quicker. However, in addition to having to share your login information, using third-party applications is a sure-fire way to get your account banned. When your account is banned then you will lose all your Snapstreaks, so it is not worth taking the risk.
