Change the Default Font in Pages on Mac

January 11, 2020 By admin_how_OS Leave a Comment

Change the Default Font in Pages on Mac: While using Pages as your preferred app on Mac for working with documents, then it’s more likely to have a favorite font that you adjust with every newly created document. Thankfully, Pages version 8.2 for Mac brought the choice to set the default font.

You can also set a default font and font size for the templates in the Basic category. Each time you when you start a new document using these templates, your preferred font and font size are used.

Unlike other templates, you can set your fonts for paragraph styles, then save the template as a custom template. The next time you begin a new document, select your custom template from the My Templates section of the template chooser and then start typing.

No longer do you have to change the font style and size every time you create a new document. Now you can also set the default font in Pages on your Mac easily, here’s how.

How to Change the default font in Pages on Mac

Open Pages on your Mac and then follow these simple steps.

Step 1:

Firstly, click Pages > Preferences from the menu bar.

Step 2:

Then choose the General tab.

Step 3:

Check the box for Set font and size for new documents.

Step 4:

Select the font you want to use in the drop-down box and then pick the size directly below that.

Step 1:

Tap OK.

If you need to change either the style or size again later, just look to the Pages Preferences and tap the Change button for the default font.

Make sure this font will apply to new Blank documents and Basic templates in Pages. The body and paragraph styles will change to match.

Conclusion:

While using Pages on your Mac regularly, changes like this can make a big difference. Don’t plan on adjusting the font with every new document you create and can simply get right to work.
