Adjust Backlight Keys Brightness On Magic Keyboard For iPad Pro

May 14, 2020 By Syeda Samia Leave a Comment

Are you looking to Adjust Backlight Keys Brightness On Magic Keyboard? Then you are in the right place. In iPad pro, the Magic Keyboard features backlit keys that make it quite easier to input in the dark. Its brightness can be modified automatically or manually. The brightness can be based on ambient lighting conditions. But certainly, you wish to watch a movie in the dark or might read a novel or an article without the keyboard backlighting interruption. Don’t fret. In this article, we will teach you how to adjust the Magic Keyboard brightness to your liking.

And due to the Magic Keyboard doesn’t have function keys row above the number row using system-wide controls. Like the backlighting or volume brightness, as on MacBooks. You simply move into the Settings app to manually adjust the brightness key using a software slider.

Unfortunately, you can’t adjust the key brightness on your Magic Keyboard through Siri. Nor you can you do that via Control Center. However, it would save us from going too deep into Settings whenever we wish to control the brightness of the keys on the Magic Keyboard.

Drawback:

The only disadvantage of the Magic Keyboard is that its layout has the absence of a row of function keys. However, it means users have no dedicated key for adjusting some PC settings. As it includes keyboard backlight brightness.

Hopefully, Apple has added a setting in ‌iPadOS‌ that enables you to do this manually. Permitted, it’s not as easy as clicking a key whenever you like to watch a video with the lights out. But at least it’s there. Here’s how to get to it.

Step 1:

Head over to the Settings app on your ‌iPad Pro‌.

Step 2:

Choose General -> Keyboard.

Step 3:

Choose Hardware Keyboard.

Step 4:

Simply drag the Keyboard Brightness slider to the left or right to make the keys dimmer or brighter.
