Do you want to add captions to photos? If you want to add something informative to your pictures and videos, whether to make them easier to find or to describe them better, you can add captions. With iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, Apple provides the ability to add captions in the Photos app just right on your device.

Including caption is very easy whenever you know where to find the feature. So here we’ll discuss how to add captions to photos and videos in Photos.

Add Captions To Photos -> How-To

Head over to the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad and then do the following steps to add some informative text.

Step 1:

Double-click the photo you want to caption. It put it in full view.

Step 2:

Swipe up from under your screen.

Step 3:

You’ll then view the Add a Caption box display. Input your caption and click Done.

How To Search with captions

After you add descriptions to your images and videos, you can then use the words to search.

Head over to the Search option in Photos and input text that are in the caption. You’ll then view your results display, which includes the photo or video you searched for. You’ll also view that the search text was found in the caption.

After you update your other devices to iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and macOS Big Sur, those captions can sync via your iCloud Library.

iOS 14 also launched many neat improvements to the Photos apps. It includes the ability to enable access to the only particular to an app and filters for viewing images by favorites, edited, and more. Besides improving photos, iOS 14 has also enhanced Messages, Shortcuts, and Voice Memos.
